About this formation
Dino Zoff was simply unbelievably good. Maldini is a legend of the game in defense. Vidic and Ferdinand are arguably the best defensive partnership of all time (aside from Nesta and Maldini). I picked Scholes as he was the best passer the game has ever seen. A complete midfielder with a great head, shot and touch as well. Patrick Vieira was the hard man in midfield for Arsenal and nothing could get past him on a good day. Lionel Messi shouldn't need explaining, probably the best player of all time. Cristiano Ronaldo is a quality winger who is great at outsmarting defenders, with pace, skill and strength. He is the complete forward. Garrincha was in my opinion the greatest dribbler to touch a football. He was unreal, just watch some footage of him. He had pace, and unbelievable control of the ball. Ronaldo Lima is arguably the most skillful and clinical striker the world has ever seen. I picked Romario as he was an incredible poacher of goals. He had quality dribbling, pinpoint finishing and bags of pace. Scoring over 1000 goals in your career must count for something right?
The absence of Pele and Maradona is because I believe Messi to be better than Maradona, and I think although Pele was good, he was not as good as everyone makes out. Watch some of his goals and skills, he's incredibly overrated.
