About this formation
Certainly a formation I think that Manchester City need to play the attacking football they like. The idea is that Fernandinho covers the back four and gives Yaya and Silva creative freedom in the centre. I always felt Wright-Philips and Richards had a great connection down the right hand side, combined offering strength, skill and an abundance of pace. De Bruyne and Aguero really don't need explaining. Lescott was considered at CB as he was there for a large part of City's early dominance, however I had to put Kolo somewhere in this league! Barry was strongly considered but I felt be belonged at Villa
