About this formation
For the Slovenia match.
This has gotta be the best choice primarily because it puts Gerrard up in CAM where he is at his best and sets Rooney up with a powerful partner. This coupled with J.Cole on the left to set up his signiture crosses, and Milner's solid determination on the right will give even the most solid defence a run for their money. Lampard is in RCM to provide a solid midfield presence and to supply Gerrard and the wingers with productive passes as Barry can support and also drop back to defend when neccessary. This provides the defending line with an extra man when they need it but tbh I rekon our back line is fine, the only question is over upson replacing carragher. And James has proved reliable in the last game so i'd go with him.
