About this formation:
Compact. Cameroon, currently doens't have quality wingers, but does have some quality CMs. Take advantage of that. With the above formation, you maintain possession via Makoun & Alex (short, 1-2 passes, especialy Makoun) & still have the steel of a 4-4-2 with Alex Song & Matip. Creativity will be deep lying. Makoun will do that, reason he has to be on the same side as Eto'o. Assou is more than capable of defending his wing with some help from Eto'o & Makoun; on the other side, Mbia is not a natural RB (or defender) As such Matip & Alex will play a major role in covering him. THat way defensive duties are uplifted from Abou & Choupo. They should concentrate on goal poaching only!
