About this formation

I would go back to 4-4-2 formation, the one that gave Arsenal so much in previous years.

There would be more english players, giving some steel to the team, as well as some identitiy. I would sell Fabregas and fund the transfer targets.

Benzema would get a new start, he was build for Premier League, not La Liga, and who better then Wenger to lead him to better performances, he definetly has the quality.
Baines would improve the defense, together with strongman Cahill, who i think would be great in pair with Vermaelen, and i would maybe add Richards as a right back, who is a really aggresive player, but would keep Sagna and let them fight it of fot the 1st spot. a new right back isn't actually needed so much, Sagna could remain in the first eleven, he is not one of the weakest links, but i like Richards aggresivnes.
A. Young would be perfect for Arsenals style of football, has great pace, great crosses and can also shot from long rane, something that Arsenal players should do more often.
Another player i would buy, is Rodwell, who would breathe down Songs neck for a position next to Wilshere in miedfield.

I think that this 11 would be much more direct when going forward, like in the times of the invinsibles and would be far more aggresive when defending. With a higher averege height, set pieces would be less dangerous.

Arsenal reserve players: Fabianski, Gibbs, Koscielny, Djourou, Sagna, Ramsey, Rodwell, Walcott, Lansbury, Vela , Bendtner

The team needs a makeover, desperately. To fund al this transfers, you need around 90 milion pounds. There are reports that Wenger has 45 available to spend, with the sale of Fabregas, Rosicky, Denilson, Squillaci, Chamakh, Eboue, Clichy, there would be plenty of money left in the bank.
