About this formation
Mascherano, Chiellini and Piszczek form a back three. Piszczek and Chiellini go up, while leaving Mascherano and the dropping down CDMs. Messi and Insigne will cut inside offering Piszczek and Chiellini room to go wide, while three big and tall Attackers are in the middle. Ibrahimovic playing as a 10 offers him to create with the ball and not to do runs in behind. The CB stay compact. With Sahin you have a distributor for the big guys. Can and Mascherano cover for him. Piszczek and Chiellini can risk going up, but will be needed coming back. Therefore the CB line is staying compact with the attacking line. Insigne and Messi can't be used to defend. The two CDMs play in the backline wherever they feel danger. Big big risk play with so little defenders, but realistically Piszczek and Chiellini aren't needed in the attack, since we have two small distributors that can also score, and a very safe passer with Sahin. Ibrahimovic can also with Haaland create his own goals. The real 9 is Balotelli.
