About this formation
How i would play PSG 23/24
In defence I porposely made the right side stronger defensively because neymar is ageing and lucas hernandez wont be happy on the bench so i figuered he would manage to play dm. Therefore i put Mbappe as ls and dembele as rf to let neymar lay deeper so he wont have to run as much. Both Mbappe and Dembele are very quick so three players who can recieve the ball, create space to play trough balls to the younger faster players will do the attack good. Verratti is extreamly good at winning the ball so therefore he can take care of the right side himself. On the left Neymar and Lucas Hernandez will be able to do as good as verratti together. The tactics used goes as following Donnarumma passes the ball to either Hakimi or Nuno Mendes who will play Neymar, Bernardo Silva or Verratti who will work together to get the ball to Mbappe or Dembele who will hopefully Score, Win a corner, freekick or Penalty. When the opposition has the ball they will not manage to get a good shot of due to the defence and midfield covering every flank. The oppositions corners and freekiks will be their only chance to score and if they fail do do so we've got great counter attacking potential. Our corners and freekicks will be taken by Neymar and atleast 4 out of the 6 defensive players will stay back to prevent counter attacks. This team can both hold possesion and counter attack.
Donnarumma wil play the fullbacks every time to avoid losing the ball in the middle and face shots. The defence invluding dm will pass it towards Verratti, Neymar or Bernardo Silva. The three of them are exellent dribblers and passers so they will almost everytime manage to get the ball to the forwards who'll run at full force towards the goal. On defence every passing lane will be cut of and dribbling wont be possible because they wont get past 4 or more defenders. If they go right They face the rb, rcb lcb and cm if they go left they face the lm dm lb lcb and rcb and if they go in the center they face cm dm lcb and rcb.
