About this formation
Poulsen will support the Right-Back position whenever Glen Johnson wishes to push forward for an attack.
Joe Cole and Javanovic will work to create space for Torres.
Gerrard will be the main link between defence and attack.
Meirles will work in a supporting role to Gerrard. This will give Gerrard as much freedom as he needs to create opportunities for the front men.
konchesky will sit much deeper then Johnson. I would encourage him to stay as deep as the two centre backs.
Very direct, energetic and attacking style of play.
