About this formation

With Utd dangerous from flanks via Nani, Park and attacking full-backs Rafael and Evra. By moving to a 4-4-2 Arsenal could field Rosicky and Nasri wide: players who both have plenty enough attacking threat but can also effectively track and press defensively.

Meanwhile Chamakh has faded in the later stages of a few of Arsenal's recent fixtures, whilst Van Persie hasn't really shown that he's fit enough to start in such a demanding encounter so Chamkh to start and RVP to replace seems the logical choice. Fielding Arshavin alongside Chamakh in a 4-4-2 means he can create, collect knock downs, but wouldn't have such a key defensive duty as he'd have if fielded wide. He'd also be able to drop into midfield when needed.

Walcott would be an option to replace Arshavin if he's not performing well, or the Utd defence is pushing up and/or showing signs of tiredness.

I think it could be foolish to start Cesc even if technically fit, this won't be an ideal game to ease your way back to full fitness so I'd favour Wilshere to start and have the option to bring Cesc on (if fit) if necessary.

Squillaci should probably take most blame for last 2 goals we've conceded and so I'd have Koscielny ahead of him with Djourou- Arsenal's best performer at centre-back this season-alongside him.
