FOOTBALL FORMATIONS

About this formation

The team is playing an away fixture and hence will go for a 4-3-3 formation with a false 9 in Totti. This is too keep possession and use CAFU and BREHEME on the flanks to provide support on the wings

Since this formation has no wingers we are weak on the flanks which will be countered by Gerrard and Davids Marking the opponent wingers/attacking mid fielders leaving only their full backs against ours in attacks and nullifying their threat

Deschamps will be our anchor man in front of the back 4 and mark their Creative player/Play maker .

The Tactics is simple, Ronaldinho and Laudrup are in free roles to combine with totti or dribble and create chances themselves.

With a highly volatile front 3 and having 6 top mid fielders we should easily dominate possession and create chances

The attacking duties of davids and gerrard are that only Gerrard will make box to box runs, Pick out an attacking full back or have a go at goal when he gets a chance to, Davids will sit tight with deschamps and ensure there is not much vulnerability in counters .

On winning
Klinsman on for Ronaldinho , Totti and Laudrup free roles in a 4-3-2-1 formation with klinsman as our forward, This is to get one more goal and kill the game , or to get one back if our opponents manage to level the scoreline in a low scoring draw(1-1)

On losing or 1-1 draw :klinsman on for Davids and Romario on for Totti and Hagi on for dinho

Team will shift to a 4-2-2-2 formation with Klinsman upfront and romario playing deep behind him to combine with our playmakers Laudrup and Totti with a 2 man pivot in Deschamps and Gerrard . Cafu and Breheme will continue to attack and provide crosses for klinsman to score !
