About this formation

4-3-3 Attacking/4-5-1 Defending

Solid back four, stay in line with each other, don't cross the halfway line. Plenty of communication between back four and goalkeeper. Keep it simple, look to pass to Sweeney or if needs be hammer it over the top for Colin. Important that concentration is good. Only priority is to prevent Seabury scoring.

Stephano to play the anchor in midfield. Help the defence by protecting them. Also the link between defence and midfield. Very important to protect the defence. Sweeney will play the classic midfielder. Helping with both defence and attack. Again, keep it simple, plenty of nice intricate passing between Sweeney and Stevo. Stevo will play as the general in the team. Attacking play should go through him and he’s the creative player we should pass to in the midfield. Stevo can push forward in support of the front three.

Brooks and Delanty have very important roles. When we don't have the ball it’s important that they drop back as wingers to help out. Attacking they are wing forwards, when our midfield get the ball one should come short looking for the ball to feet while the other should make a run behind the defence for the through ball. Gives our midfield an option every time. This also creates space for Colin to do his thing. He needs one chance and its back of the net. Colin should hang over the shoulder of the last man in defence.

We should close Seabury down when they reach the halfway line. Allowing them possession in defence is alright and important to conserve energy for our attacking players as the shape defensively is very important. We have Gully, Halligan and Gave to come on the bench, substitutes are so important for the game, players with fresh legs coming on makes a huge difference so if anyone is tired they should come off straight away and get their breath back.
