About this formation

The formation is a bit of a modified 4-2-3-1

Eusebio plays as a 9 and 1/2 as he offers his strike ability with a bit of fine playmaking and considering the wingers in the team, he will often be able to bring them into play.

Eusebio will be running the channels allowing Ronnie to drift inward and dribble his way past defenders as Cabrini rages on from left back overlapping and combining with Eusebio and R10 to unravel space.

It is these spaces that Socrates and will look to exploit using his directness to create a bit of magic along the way. Figo on the other hand will have a free role often drifting into the spaces between center back and fullback, dragging the fullback off his line. Socrates and Eusebio will then over load the region using their movement to open up space. Zanetti overlaps to add to the numbers.

When these spaces open up Kaiser will break forward using Eusebio and Socrates to split defenses open running late into the box to pummel the opposition goal with shots.

Souness plays a more conservative role as the scary Scot looks to unsettle opposition attackers often helping Kaiser cover for the fullbacks and shield the center backs.

Alan Hansen is an intelligent footballer, the likes of who dominated Europe with Liverpool during the Paisley era which saw a return of multiple European cups. For a while he had his say in the bracket of best defenders of the era.

Desailly is a beast. An intelligent one and a rock at the back.

Defensively, when off the ball we press hard and strong unsettling their midfield players.

Socrates drops deep when off the ball with him Kaiser and Souness completely clogging midfield with a tactically intelligent Figo adding to the numbers.

Fullbacks will always be covered by one of Kaiser or Souness with Socrates and Figo dropping into deeper positions to make up the bodies.

Souness will be the one who initiates the counter attacks from the back and we break with a unique mix of power, pace, guile and intelligence.

If Winning. After 80 mins, Overath on for Socrates.

More energy in midfield and Kaiser has Overath helping him out. Overath's incredible passing range and our forward three are now well suited for counter attacking football.

After 85 mins, Luigi Riva on for R10, Eusebio as a LWF and Riva up top. Fresher legs and more defensive duty in Eusebio running back and dribbling from deep when we hit them on the counter. Riva gives us more strength and a fierce shot.

Beckenbauer unleashes becomes more attacking and orchestrates patience and initiative as we look to break them down.

We are more patient with our final ball, don't panic and end up making futile crosses.
