About this formation
This is a formation for the SHORT TERM and should be used to promote the youth by utilising Sterling's pace on the wing with Suso spreading the play to him, who then deliver crosses to the firepower of Caroll & Suarez upfront.
The centre of the park is helped by Gerrard's presence & experience and is a brilliant mentor for Suso & Shelvey.
If Shelvey is not ready then Lucas can take the holding role.
Glen Johnson or Dirk Kuyt will take a role at right wing back and will need to trackback more often than get forward so at times it can be 4 at the back.
