England Football Formation

Lineup (4-3-3)

Okay so England listen up. Its not my ideal England team for the world cup BUT Roy has chosen who he's taken and I've took on the role to sort out the lads. Its a 4-3-3 formation with Gerrard as captain. Starting from the back:
Hart: because he simply is the number 1 keeper for England.
Baines: More experienced than Shaw (although I do think Shaw is quality) he can cross the ball and free kicks are spot on.
Cahill: Solid defender, performing well.
Jagielka: Not my ideal choice to be honest BUT much better than Smalling and Jones.
Johnson: The problem with Glen is that he doesn't get back, he can attack well but needs to realise that his role is defence not attack! Still picked him though because he can play well.
Barkley: Hard worker, skilful, ambitious, determined. He can attack with venom and will never give up.
Henderson: Such a player. Hard working doesn't cover it, he works his socks off, he attacks and defends, chases after the ball and is a box to box midfielder. With his determination and thrive for the game JH is a key man for England.
Gerrard: Role model, leader, playmaker, legend. Captain because of experience, knowledge, superiority and talent. You want a defence opening pass? Stevie is the man. England hero.
Sterling: Fast, agile and high in spirit. Always produces a good performance, plays good football and brings youth to the squad. For a young lad, he certainly knows his stuff. Top player.
Rooney: When he plays, he plays. Really good footballer but needs to show he can score a few more for England. Strong and powerful Rooney has the potential to destroy ANY team.
Sturridge: Just look at how he has played for Liverpool alongside Luis! Quick on his feet, agile, skilful and composed. He can score great goals and knows the game well, Sturridge can also rip open a team with his pace and skill. He will play a huge role in this world cup.

Players I would have taken and why:
Ashley Cole: England's best left back by far, not sure why Roy left him behind. Would be first team for me.
Paul Robinson: I would have taken Robbo because I like him, he makes a few mistakes BUT is still a quality keeper. He may even be my first choice GK.
David Beckham: The living legend. You cant get better than Becks, beautiful footballer, amazing free kicks and true England lad. Miss you playing Beckham. Defo fan favourite.
Andy Carroll: Simply because he is a powerhouse, the strength and the shot power combined with his height make a good striker that can make an impact in a game. Should have took his along to come on as a sub for Rooney.
Micah Richards: I would have taken Richards to replace Jagielka in centre back. He is a solid defender and plays good football. First team player for me.
My ideal manager would be Harry Redknapp instead of Roy. He knows much more and would suit the role better in my eyes.
