It's more like 3-2-3-1. Kroos controls all of midfield giving James freedom to roam and shoot/pass to the BBC. When they loose possession Kroos drops back creating two walls of 3 with ALonso and Modric moving farther to either side also Ronaldo and Bale track the full backs on the other team. I think it would suit Madrid nicely with their star power if everyone did their jobs correctly
