Coentrao playing a wing back role down the left, attacking and providing width but also supporting the defence. Vermaelen and Koscielny covering when attacks come down the side with Fellaini dropping back to cover for the CB, untill the RM/LM gets back.
Allows van Perise to have a much needed strike partner without sacrificing a 3 man midfield, and also provides more height to help deal with set pieces better.
If executed properly, could really be a good balance of quick attack, possession and solid defence.
