John Terry is the best defender Chelsea has. His presence is very important. Cahill has been very shambolic. His confidence is very poor at the moment so Luiz should start in his place. Luiz has even been a better player than Cahill so far. Ivanovic too has been shambolic since last season. It's unbelievable he still starts every game. I would have loved to put Azpi on the left but his performance against Leicester on the rift was immense. His sexy passes to Costa upfront caught me by surprise. Alonso has a good left foot and can whip in decent crosses to either Costa and Batman. Chelsea's midfield has lacked a holding midfielder as Oscar and Kante tend to push forward all the time. Mikel being the only holding midfielder we have takes the spot. Oscar has been very good defensively, tracking back efficiently although his attacking prowess has been somehow off, he will improve. Kante has been good for Chelsea, covering a lot of places in that midfield. Winning those balls. Having Mikel behind him gives him a lot of freedom to push further along with Oscar. Hazard behind the strikers. Obviously, he gets the free role and is allowed to roam around as much as he wants and causing problems down the middle taking with him as much defenders as possible, creating enough space for both strikers. Costa at times looks deserted up front, but is still a deadly threat. Playing alongside Batman puts more threat in our attack.
