Juventus Football Formation
Lineup (4-4-1-1)
Buffon · Bonucci · Chiellini · Barzagli · Alves · Sandro · Silva · Khedira · Marchisio · Dybala · HiguainThis is a new type of defensive system I think Juventus could play against the better teams if they end up buying Thiago Silva. They have 4 world-class centerbacks and with Rugani & Benatia on the bench they need to use them. It is a 6-2-1-1 with 4 centrebacks. Bonucci would play as a deep lying centerback with Chiellini and Barzagli on the sides. That's a familiar trio for Juve. Silva would play as a high centerback and at times CDM. Marchisio and Khedira would be vital in this formation, because they have to offer width when there are no wingers, there are only wingbacks who has to play as both fullbacks and wingers. With this formation you would have to make the opponents have the ball and rely on counter-attacks. With such deep lying defenders and the 2 centremidfielders working sideways and helping the wingbacks, Alves and Sandro wouldn't have to work that hard and they would be fresh for the counter. When Juve gets the ball in a promising counter-attacking scenario they would quickly split into a 3-1-2-3-1 formation. This would also mean that Dybala would have to sit a bit deeper when Khedira and Marchisio helps out on the wings. Defensively this would be a 6-3-1. Against the "not so good teams" Juve would continue with a 3-5-2 or a 4-1-2-1-2 which has worked for them before.
