This is the formation Zidane uses when he trusts Isco the most, and currently Isco is his best player. I don't think that Manchester City will have a lot of advantage in possession at the Bernabeu, so possession will be even, and that way Real Madrid will be able to play this way without parking the bus nor trying to much counter attacks (at least in the first half). Besides, this is an unlikely formation especially when adding Luka Jovic to the equation, which is exactly what is needed right now in Madrid and the surprise effect will be useful.
