Although I can't stand them, the money invested has made them one of the best teams of the last 10 years so they deserve to be in this PL. Certainly a formation I think that Manchester City need to play the attacking football they like. The idea is that Fernandinho covers the back four and gives Yaya and Silva creative freedom in the centre. Whilst Hart struggled later in his career, he was outstanding early on, hence the reason he was Manchester City's number one and England's, against some good competition. I always felt Wright-Philips and Richards had a great connection down the right hand side, combined offering strength, skill and an abundance of pace. De Bruyne and Aguero really don't need explaining. Lescott was considered at CB as he was there for a large part of City's early dominance, however I think loosing Kompany and Laporte at the same time is why they have struggled this season. Barry was strongly considered but I felt he belonged at Villa. Honourable mentions are Ederson, Lescott, Zabaletta, Petrov, Barry, Ireland and Sterling. The captain has to be Vince Kompany - if you have to ask why you should not be playing this game. Guardiola is the manager, his attack minded, fancy football will benefit this team. Additionally he has been the most successful manager City have had. Mancini nearly made the cut though.
