In the attacking phase, Hajduk relies on a lone striker in Marko Livaja. Livaja acts as a target man who can hold up the ball to allow the midfield to push up the pitch. The attackers aim to create runs in behind by using the width provided by the wide midfielders. When the team wins the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition, using the movement of the midfielders to support the striker. The front line works to press the opposition back line to force a long ball.
