In the center, KEAGAN and THABANG work as a two man partnership. They can hold up the ball to allow the others to move forward into attacking positions. Wingers look to get to the byline and whip it in, while the forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition back line.

A major strength is the advantage of attacking numbers to pin the last defender. By having KEAGAN and THABANG in the box, South Africa can win the header and create numerous chances. The team also benefits from a high speed of transition. When KHANYA or NTSAKO intercept a pass, the players can break quickly to exploit the space behind the opposition.
