Ho Sze Chit operates between the posts to manage the high defensive line. The defensive unit consists of a back two with Lee Yoon Gwon and Yuen Sai kit acting as the central defenders. Lee Yoon Gwon and Yuen Sai kit must be prepared to step up to intercept passes or sweep behind the line when the team pushes high. Because there are only two defenders, they must maintain a narrow defensive block to protect the central area and rely on the midfield to track back and cover the wide zones.

The midfield is a crowded five man line designed to control the center and provide width. Benji Tandy Ortega and Kotaro Umeda form a double pivot to shield the two defenders and recycle possession. In the attacking phase, Resources Capital utilizes three forwards to stretch the defence. Pong Chuek Hei acts as the lone striker to lead the press and hold up the ball. Tsang Chung Nam and Kim Sang Woo operate as wide wingers who look to cut inside and find the feet of the striker or pull wide to deliver crosses. This front line works in combinations to create runs in behind the opposition back line.
