Starting Lineup

Pong Chuek Hei · Kim Sang Woo · Tsang Chung Nam · Moon Chi Sung · Yuki Shibata · Ching Lee · Kotaro Umeda · Benji Tandy Ortega · Lee Yoon Gwon · Ho Sze Chit · Yuen Sai kit

Resources Capital aims to dominate the pitch through a high press and aggressive verticality using a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and quickly transition into attack. The goal is to pin the opposition in their own half and create constant pressure in the final third.

Ho Sze Chit operates between the posts to manage the high defensive line. The defensive unit consists of a back two with Lee Yoon Gwon and Yuen Sai kit acting as the central defenders. Lee Yoon Gwon and Yuen Sai kit must be prepared to step up to intercept passes or sweep behind the line when the team pushes high. Because there are only two defenders, they must maintain a narrow defensive block to protect the central area and rely on the midfield to track back and cover the wide zones.

The midfield is a crowded five man line designed to control the center and provide width. Benji Tandy Ortega and Kotaro Umeda form a double pivot to shield the two defenders and recycle possession. Ching Lee acts as the central engine to connect the defensive and attacking lines. On the flanks, Moon Chi Sung and Yuki Shibata operate in the half spaces to drive forward and create passing lanes. This midfield block works to compress the space and win the second ball to keep the pressure on.

In the attacking phase, Resources Capital utilizes three forwards to stretch the defence. Pong Chuek Hei acts as the lone striker to lead the press and hold up the ball. Tsang Chung Nam and Kim Sang Woo operate as wide wingers who look to cut inside and find the feet of the striker or pull wide to deliver crosses. This front line works in combinations to create runs in behind the opposition back line.

The tactical advantages of this formation include extreme numerical superiority in the midfield and the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By flooding the middle with five players, the team can squeeze the space and force a long ball from the opponent. This setup also allows for rapid transitions where the wingers can immediately attack the flanks.

Resources Capital relies on this high risk high reward formation to suffocate opponents through central density and forward aggression. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to dominate possession and break down a team sitting deep in a low block.
