Poland plays with a direct and vertical identity through a 3-4-3 formation. The lineup is built to catch opponents on the break and use wide players to stretch the pitch. This system relies on quick transitions and heavy pressing to regain the ball in high areas.

Łukasz Skorupski sits between the posts to command his area. The back line operates as a back three with Jakub Bednarek acting as the central anchor to win the header and clear the lines. Jan Bednarek is joined by Jakub Kiwior on the left and Sebastian Walukiewicz on the right to provide a solid zonal line. Kiwior and Walukiewicz must cover the space behind the midfield when the team pushes up. They stay compact to ensure they do not get caught by long balls.

The midfield functions as a pairing that connects the defence to the front line. Captain Piotr Zieliński acts as the deep lying playmaker, using his passing range to find teammates. He sits alongside Jan Moder to shield the defence and win the second ball. While Zieliński pulls the strings from deep, Moder helps to drive forward and carry the ball forward into the middle third. They provide the platform for the wide players to move into advanced positions.

The attack consists of three players who look to exploit the half spaces and the flanks. Karol Urbański plays on the left and Nicolo Zalewski operates as a wide attacking midfielder to provide width. On the right, Steven Szymański works to cut inside and create chances. Karol Swiderski acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. This front three works to press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

Poland gains a significant advantage through their ability to create wide overloads. When Zalewski and Urbański push high, they can isolate wide players in one on one situations. The team also shows great speed of transition when Zieliński recovers the ball and immediately finds the forwards. This setup allows the team to transition from a mid block to a dangerous attacking phase in seconds.

This 3-4-3 formation is designed to be aggressive and direct. It is best suited for games where the team needs to hit a high line and exploit spaces behind a retreating defence.
