Kitchee focuses on high intensity and offensive pressure through a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup aims to overwhelm the opposition in their own half by pushing many players forward to control the central areas and the wings. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch to launch immediate attacks before the opponent can settle.

Sherzod Temirov stays behind a very narrow back two consisting of Ruslan Mingazov and Igor Sartori. These central defenders must be ready to cover large amounts of space when the team pushes up. Ruslan Mingazov and Igor Sartori often play in a high line, which requires them to step up to catch attackers offside or track runners in behind. Because there are only two defenders, the unit must work as a single block to prevent direct balls from splitting the defense.

The midfield acts as the engine room of the Kitchee lineup. Mikael and Cleiton operate as a double pivot to shield the two central defenders and provide a base for the rest of the team. Charlie Scott acts as the central link, working to connect the defensive unit to the attackers. In the half spaces, Fernando and Roberto push high to create more passing lanes and support the front three. This five man unit allows the team to compress the midfield and dominate possession in the middle of the park.

The attacking front three is designed to pin the opposition back. Tuscany Shek acts as the central striker to lead the line and hold up the ball. Helio and Sedin Ramic operate as wide attackers, with Helio looking to cut inside and Sedin Ramic stretching the defense from the opposite flank. They use combinations to move the ball into dangerous areas, often looking for runs in behind or quick passes to find the feet of the striker. This front line presses the opposition back line heavily to force turnovers.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads through the combination of the wide midfielders and the wingers. By having Roberto and Fernando move high, Kitchee can squeeze the space in the opponent half and win it back high up the pitch. Another strength is the numerical superiority in the central zones, which makes it difficult for opponents to play through the lines.

Kitchee uses this aggressive formation to dictate the tempo and suffocate opponents through constant pressure. This lineup is best suited for matches where the team needs to break down a deep block or dominate a weaker side.
