Van Der Sar is a GOAT Goalie, can't explain more than that. In form Vidic and Lucio are unstoppable, but it was a hard choice between them and other centrebacks such as Nesta, Puyol, Pepe and Ferdinand. The leftback was a tricky position but again in form I think there is no better left back in the world than Zanetti, still go back to the game against Barcelona where he marked Messi out of the game and I still remember the rage I had when Maradona left him out of the world cup squad. The rightback was harder to pick and it was a very slim choice between Maicon and Alves. Xavi is possibly the most creative midfielder of all time and partnered with Scholes who could not only provide the same kind of creativity but a large attacking threat, these two would be unstoppable as centre midfielders. Ronaldinho was an easy choice for attacking midfield. Creative, great scoring ability, great dribbling, technical ability, he was a GOAT and remains that way. C.Ronaldo is again another player who on his form cannot be stopped. Goal threat all round and quick, accurate and strong. Messi is no reason to explain, the reason I did not pick him as a striker was because he is fast and a goal threat who can easily cut in as well as cross but also he is not the greatest striker of all time. Lastly is R.V.N. because he has always been a brilliant goalscoring machine, did not need to be a long range threat as C.Ronaldo, Messi, Scholes and Ronaldinho are all more than capable in that area, so I needed to pick the greatest goal poacher led me to a few names such as Henry, Raul, Ronaldo, Drogba and such. But R.V.N. was one that stuck in my head.
