The midfield operates as a double pivot consisting of J. Saralegui and V. Taborda. These two players are tasked with shielding the defense and winning the second ball in the middle third. J. Saralegui and V. Taborda must work closely to compress the midfield space and deny the opposition time on the ball. Their primary job is to connect the back five to the front three by recycling possession or playing through the lines to find the attackers as soon as the ball is recovered.

In the attacking phase, Boca uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. D. Benedetto acts as the lone striker, playing as a target man to hold up the ball and wait for support. E. Zeballos and L. Langoni operate as wide attackers who look to cut inside and create goalscoring chances. This front line focuses on runs in behind and combinations in tight spaces to punish teams that leave gaps. They press from the front to force a long ball and disrupt the opposition buildup.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly in terms of compactness when defending. The heavy presence of five defenders makes it very difficult for opponents to find gaps in the central areas. Additionally, the team can create wide overloads when M. Saracchi and L. Blondel push forward to overlap the wingers. This allows Boca to transition from a low block into a wide attacking shape with great speed.
