This system requires the two defenders to be ready to defend large amounts of grass behind them if the press is bypassed.

The midfield is a dense block designed to control the center of the pitch. Caga Ressoli and Ivan Stransk operate as a double pivot to shield the two defenders and recycle possession. Diego Vica acts as the central engine, driving forward to connect the defense to the attack. Ahead of him, Olli Juurika and Gyorgy Sakharohd occupy the half-spaces as attacking midfielders to create passing lanes. This five man unit ensures that Inter maintains control and can quickly move the ball through the thirds.

The attacking unit employs three players across the front to stretch the opposition. Xeka leads the line as a lone striker, working to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the flanks, Serafino Reazza and Jules Kupenmeiner play as wide wingers who look to get to the byline and deliver crosses. The movement between the five midfielders and three attackers creates constant threats through combinations and runs in behind. This frontline works to press the opposition back line immediately upon losing the ball.

One major advantage of this Inter formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having five players in midfield and three up front, the team can easily create numerical superiority in the middle and high zones. Another strength is the speed of transition, as the proximity of the midfielders to the attackers allows for quick one-two passes to break the lines.
