In the attacking phase, Griezmann leads the line as a striker who drops into the hole to link up play. Mbappé plays as an inverted winger on the left, frequently cutting inside to attack the far post and run in behind the defenders with his immense pace. Dembélé stays wide on the right to isolate his marker and whip it in or cut it back. The movement of these players is designed to create runs in behind and stretch the defense.
