The midfield operates with a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. D. Luiz holds a deep role to shield the defence and recycle possession. Thuram acts as a carrier to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. Koopmeiners plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and make runs from deep. This group works to win the second ball and progress through the thirds.

In the attacking phase, Juventus uses three attackers across the front. Vlahovic acts as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for others. Sancho operates as an inverted winger on the right to cut inside and create chances, while Yldiz plays as an inverted winger on the left to find pockets of space. These forwards press the opposition back line to force a long ball and then look to hit in behind on the transition.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Juventus. The presence of Koopmeiners and Thuram allows for numerical superiority in midfield when they push up.
