Fenerbahçe focuses on a direct and aggressive way of playing, utilizing a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup aims to stay compact while looking to hit the opposition hard when they win the ball. The setup is built to absorb pressure and then transition with high speed to exploit the spaces left by an advancing opponent.

Altay guards the goal as the lone goalkeeper. The defensive unit operates with a back three consisting of Maldi, Neustadder, and Serdar Kesimal. Maldi sits centrally to anchor the line, while Serdar Kesimal acts as the right centre back to cover the flank. Neustadder provides stability on the left. Orhan Şam operates as the right wing back to provide width, and HasanAli plays as the left wing back to overlap in the final third. The back line aims to stay narrow to force play wide.

The midfield features a two man pairing with Zacj and Josico. These two must work hard to cover the middle ground. Josico and Zacj act as the engine, tasked with winning the second ball and carrying the ball forward to link the defence to the front three. They need to shield the back three and make sure they do not get bypassed in the central areas. When the team loses the ball, they must immediately press to prevent the opponent from playing through the lines.

Fenerbahçe uses three attackers across the front line to stretch the defence. Rossi and Gökhan Emreciksin act as wide wingers, with Rossi cutting inside from the left and Gökhan Emreciksin stretching play from the right. Alper Potuk plays as a lone striker, acting as the focal point to hold up the ball and link with the runners. The wingers look to isolate defenders one on one or make runs in behind. The front line is expected to press the opposition back line from the front to trigger a press.

One major strength of this formation is the ability to defend in a deep block and stay compact. The back five makes it very difficult for opponents to find space in the box. Fenerbahçe also benefits from the speed of transition, as the wing backs like Orhan Şam and HasanAli can quickly push up to create wide overloads.
