The midfield consists of a single pivot and two central midfielders. Y. Ramadani sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and intercept passes. He acts as the primary link to recycle possession when the team needs to slow the tempo. J. Gonzalez and Y. Maleh operate as inverted eights who drive forward with the ball to break the line. J. Gonzalez looks to carry the ball forward into the half spaces while Y. Maleh helps to press in a mid-block to win the ball back.

Lecce uses three attackers to stretch the defence. N. Krstovic acts as a pressing centre-forward who leads the line by chasing the ball and pinning the last defender. On the wings, L. Banda and S.
