Lecce prefers to play with a high press and rapid transitions in a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move the opposition out of position through quick verticality. The team looks to squeeze the space in the opponent half to create chances for the front three.

W. Falcone operates between the posts to command his area. The defense works as a flat back four where V. Gendrey acts as a defensive wing back to provide stability on the right. P. Dorgu pushes high on the left to offer width and support the attack. In the center, F. Baschirotto uses his aerial strength to win headers and K. Gaspar covers the space behind the advancing full backs. This unit works to hold a high line and set the offside trap to keep the play in the attacking third.

The midfield consists of a single pivot and two central midfielders. Y. Ramadani sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and intercept passes. He acts as the primary link to recycle possession when the team needs to slow the tempo. J. Gonzalez and Y. Maleh operate as inverted eights who drive forward with the ball to break the line. J. Gonzalez looks to carry the ball forward into the half spaces while Y. Maleh helps to press in a mid-block to win the ball back.

Lecce uses three attackers to stretch the defence. N. Krstovic acts as a pressing centre-forward who leads the line by chasing the ball and pinning the last defender. On the wings, L. Banda and S. Pierotti act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central threats. This movement creates space for the full backs to overlap. The front three combine in tight spaces to play one-twos and search for runs in behind the opposition back line.

This formation offers Lecce significant speed of transition when they win the ball in the middle third. The wide overloads created by the full backs and wingers allow the team to spread wide and pull the opposition apart. By using a high press, the team can create chances directly from turnovers.

The 4-3-3 provides Lecce with a balanced way to press high and strike on the break. This lineup is best suited for games against teams that play a high line and leave space behind their defenders.
