Fai and Tolo provide width as attacking wing backs, meaning they must track back to defend deep and overlap the wingers when the team has the ball. The midfield consists of a double pivot with Zambo and Hongla. Hongla works to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive line to the front three, while Zambo sits deeper to shield the defense and win the second ball. In the final third, Cameroon uses three attackers to stretch the defense. Aboubakar plays as a physical target man to hold up the ball and win flick ons for his teammates. Moumi and Toko act as wingers who look to cut inside or spread wide to create crossing opportunities. The attack relies on transition play, with the wingers making runs in behind to exploit the space left by high defensive lines. They aim to deliver early balls into the box for Aboubakar to attack.
