Zagadou form the pairing, with Zagadou offering significant aerial strength and Rouault acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks. They work together to maintain a compact shape and defend zonally when the team drops into a mid-block.

The midfield is composed of a double pivot that connects the defense to the front four. A. Karazor acts as the sitting midfielder who shields the defense and breaks up play, while A. Stiller works as a deep lying playmaker with a wide passing range to switch play. These two players are responsible for recycling possession and finding the forwards.
