The attack uses three attackers across the front line. Dolberg acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the press and hold up the ball. Hazard and Dreyer operate as wide players to stretch the defence. Hazard looks to cut inside to create chances in the half spaces, while Dreyer stays wide to deliver crosses. The wingers aim to isolate the opposition full backs in one on one situations. These movements are designed to create runs in behind and allow midfielders to arrive late into the box.

This formation offers several tactical advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. The single pivot role of Rits allows for numerical superiority in midfield when the team is in possession.
