Starting Lineup

Bulka · Dante · Viti (Bard) · Mendy · Clauss · Perraud · Sanson · Ndombélé · Boga · Moffi · Cho

OGC Nice operates with a high press and quick transition identity using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move forward with speed. The tactical goal is to use width and central presence to stretch the opposition and create chances in the final third.

Bulka acts as the goalkeeper to organize the defensive unit. The back line features a back three with Dante as the central defender to lead the line and win the header. Mendy plays as the right centre back to cover the space, while Viti operates as the left centre back to provide defensive cover. This defensive unit works to keep a compact shape and will step up to set the offside trap when the team presses high.

The midfield works in a central pairing to control the middle of the park. Ndombélé acts as a carrier to drive forward with the ball and connect the defense to the attack. Beside him, Sanson works to recycle possession and help the team move through the thirds. Clauss and Perraud provide the width from the wide areas, acting as wing backs who overlap to support the attack and track back to help the defense.

In the attacking phase, Nice uses three attackers to pin the last defender. Moffi plays as the lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Cho and Boga operate as wide wingers who cut inside to create goalscoring chances. These players press from the front to force a long ball and create turnovers, allowing the team to break quickly and hit in behind on the transition.

The tactical advantages of this formation include the ability to press high in coordinated waves with the front three and the midfield. OGC Nice also creates wide overloads from the overlapping runs of Clauss and Perraud. These movements pull the opposition wide and create space in the middle for Ndombélé or Sanson to arrive late into the box.

This 3-4-3 lineup is designed to dominate games through aggressive pressing and rapid transitions. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back or leave space behind their defensive line.
