Up front, the team uses three attackers with Oyarzabal playing as a lone striker. Yamal stays on the right wing and looks to cut inside to create goal scoring opportunities. Olmo operates from the left and works to find gaps in the opposition line. Oyarzabal stays central to hold up the ball or move into channels to create space. The wingers and wing backs often combine to get to the byline and deliver crosses into the box.

This formation offers specific tactical advantages like wide overloads when Carvajal and Yamal push forward together. The team can also press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back high up the pitch.
