Club Africain Football Formation
Starting Lineup
HASSEN · ZAALOUNI · BEN ABDA · BOUABID · HAMROUNI · SGHAIER · SEMAKULA · AIT MALEK · KHADHRAOUI · EDUWO · SRARFIClub Africain aims to play a very direct and aggressive brand of football with a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup focuses on overwhelming the opponent in the final third and using high intensity to win the ball back quickly. The goal is to stretch the opposition with a heavy offensive presence and transition at pace to catch the back line out of position.
HASSEN guards the goal and oversees the defensive unit. The back line operates as a flat back four consisting of ZAALOUNI and HAMROUNI on the flanks with BEN ABDA and BOUABID in the center. ZAALOUNI acts as an attacking full back to provide width while HAMROUNI must track back to cover the space left behind. BEN ABDA and BOUABID work to hold the line and win the second ball in central areas to prevent direct attacks.
A double pivot forms the heart of the midfield with SEMAKULA and SGHAIER. These two players work to protect the central zone and shield the defense when the team is under pressure. SEMAKULA and SGHAIER are tasked to recover possession and immediately look to play through the lines to reach the forwards. They must balance the need to press in a mid-block with the responsibility to cover the spaces left by the advanced wide players.
The attacking unit uses four players to pin the last defender and create constant threats. KHADHRAOUI and SRARFI play as wide wingers who look to cut inside and create chances. In the center, AIT MALEK and EDUWO operate as a two-man partnership. This pair works to link up play between the lines and makes runs in behind to exploit any gaps. The forwards are expected to press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.
Club Africain finds strength in their ability to create wide overloads and isolate opponents in one on one situations. The high number of attackers allows for rapid speed of transition when the ball is won. This formation also provides a strong ability to press high in coordinated waves to keep the opponent pinned in their own half.
This 4-2-4 formation is designed for high scoring games where the team wants to dominate the offensive half. It is best suited for matches where the opponent struggles to handle intense pressure and rapid vertical movements.
