Ben White often pushes up to overlap the winger, while Calafiori can tuck inside to help the midfield when the team moves the ball forward.

The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creator. Declan Rice sits in the middle to shield the defence and pick up runners, often acting as the link between the lines. Merino plays as the left eight, driving forward with the ball and making late runs into the box to support the attack. Martin Odegaard (C) plays as the advanced attacking ten, looking to play through the lines and find the feet of the striker. This trio allows Arsenal to control the centre of the pitch and recycle possession effectively.

In the attacking phase, Arsenal uses three attackers across the front. Gabriel Jesus plays as a pressing centre-forward, working to hold up the ball and link up play with the midfielders. Martinelli operates on the left as an inverted winger who cuts inside to shoot, while Bukayo Saka stays wide on the right to take on defenders one on one.
