The midfield utilizes two central midfielders, Damián and Ilaix, to control the middle of the pitch. Damián works to shield the defence and win possession, while Ilaix looks to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive and attacking lines. On the flanks, Carreira and Huguito operate as wide midfielders who provide the width. Carreira and Huguito must track back to help the defenders while also being ready to push high to support the attack.

In the final third, Celta uses three attackers to stretch the defence. Tasos plays as a lone striker and acts as a target man to hold up the ball and win headers. Williot and Aspas play as wide attackers who look to cut inside and create chances. Williot provides movement on the left, while Aspas looks to find space to play through the lines. This front line is designed to press from the front, forcing the opposition into mistakes near their own goal.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Celta. The presence of three wide players allows for wide overloads, especially when Carreira or Huguito overlap the wingers. The team also benefits from the ability to press high in coordinated waves, with Tasos and the wide players leading the charge.
