Starting Lineup

Valverde uses his high intensity to cover ground and press aggressively in the middle. They act as the engine to connect the back five to the front three. Kimmich often drops into the half spaces to help build out from the back while Valverde makes runs to support the attack.

In the final third, QPR employs three attackers. Havertz operates as a pressing centre forward who looks to link up play between the lines. Isak cuts inside from the left to create chances, while Kolo Muani works the right flank to provide width. The front three press the opposition back line to force a long ball. The wing backs, Alaba and White, overlap the wingers to create overloads in the wide areas.

This 5-2-3 formation offers significant tactical advantages. The presence of Rodri, Zouma, and Davies provides a strong aerial presence and helps defend against crosses. The speed of transition is high because Valverde and Kimmich can quickly move the ball forward.
