Camavinga uses his driving runs to carry the ball forward through the thirds, while Barella works to intercept passes and recycle possession. Bellingham operates as an attacking ten behind the strikers, looking to arrive late into the box and connect the midfield to the front line. This trio works to compress the midfield and deny the pivot of the opposition.

HKFC employs two forwards in a partnership to lead the line. Lautaro M. and Griezmann operate as a duo that can work in tight spaces. Lautaro M. acts as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opposition back line, while Griezmann often drops deeper to link up play between the lines. The attack creates width through the runs of Walker and Mendy, who overlap the wingers to deliver crosses. This movement forces the opposition to stretch the defence, leaving gaps for Lautaro M. to exploit with runs in behind.
