Boca aims to play a direct and vertical style of football using a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to control the middle of the pitch while using wide areas to stretch the opposition. The team relies on heavy pressing and quick transitions to catch opponents out of position.

ROMERO sits between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line operates as a back five, with POL acting as the central defender to sweep behind the line. ZENÓN works as a left sided engine who can drive forward with the ball, while SARALEGUI operates on the right to connect the lines. This group aims to press in a mid block to win the ball back high up the pitch. They look to recycle possession and quickly find the attackers through the lines.

MERENTIEL plays alongside him, often making runs in behind to exploit gaps in the defense. The wing backs, BLANCO and ADVÍNCULA, provide the width by overlapping the midfielders.
