Boca aims to play a high press with a vertical transition style through a 4-3-3 formation. The lineup relies on winning the ball high up the pitch and moving it forward quickly to catch the opposition out of position. This system is built to stretch the defence and use quick movements to break the lines.

MILINKOVIC SAVIC stays between the posts to organize the back line. Boca uses a flat back four where BELLANOVA acts as an attacking full back to provide width on the right. SPINAZZOLA pushes up to overlap the winger on the left side to create overloads. In the middle, BIJOL works as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back, while HIEN covers the space behind and uses his aerial strength to win headers during defensive transitions.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a single pivot. ZAMBO ANGUISSA sits in front of the defence to shield the back four and intercept passes. To his sides, LE FEE and EDERSON operate as two inverted eights who connect the defensive and attacking lines. EDERSON drives forward with the ball to progress through the thirds, while LE FEE looks to find space in the half-spaces to create chances. This trio works to compress the midfield and win the second ball.

The attacking unit features three attackers across the front. POHJANPALO plays as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for his teammates. On the wings, ZACCAGNI and LOOKMAN act as inverted wingers who cut inside to occupy central areas. This movement creates space for the full backs to overlap and allows the team to attack in combinations. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and trigger a press in a mid-block.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. The team can create wide overloads using the movement of BELLANOVA and LOOKMAN. Boca also benefits from the speed of transition when the midfield wins possession and immediately finds the runners in behind.

The 4-3-3 lineup creates a heavy presence in the final third through constant movement. It is best suited for games against opponents who play a high line and can be caught on the break.
