Sp. Braga utilizes a high press and rapid transition system within a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to stretch the pitch and win the ball high up the pitch to catch opponents out of position. By using a wide attacking line, the team aims to create constant tension against a defensive unit.

Matheus acts as the last line of defense in goal. The back line consists of a back three with Yuri on the left, Mbi in the center, and Bambu on the right. Yuri and Bambu act as wide centre backs who can step up into the midfield space when necessary, while Mbi holds the center and remains dominant in the air. This defensive unit works to maintain a high line, squeezing the space between the defense and the midfield to prevent the opposition from playing through the lines.

The midfield functions as a central block with two wide players and two central midfielders. Roger plays on the left and V Gomez on the right, acting as wing backs who provide width and track back to help the defense. In the middle, V Carvalho and A Horta work to control the center. V Carvalho connects the defensive and attacking lines, while A Horta works to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively to win the ball back. This midfield pairing helps Sp. Braga recycle possession and move the ball from the back three into the final third.

The attacking front line features three players tasked with pinning the last defender. Bruma and Zalazar act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances, often leaving space for the wing backs to overlap. Amine serves as the central striker to hold up the ball and link up play with the wider attackers. The front three work to press from the front, forcing long balls from the opposition and looking to break quickly through runs in behind.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to create wide overloads. When V Gomez and Roger push high, they create numerical superiority against the opposition full backs. Additionally, the coordination between the three center backs and the two central midfielders allows the team to maintain compactness when defending a lead.
