Douglas Luiz works to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often dropping between the centre-backs to receive. This pairing must stay compact to prevent the opposition from playing through the lines and must be ready to protect the back four when the team is out of possession.

The front line uses two forwards in a partnership of Vlahovic and Koopmeiners to pin the last defender. Vlahovic acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line, while Koopmeiners finds spaces to arrive late into the box. Nico Gonzalez and Yildiz provide width as inverted wingers who cut inside to create threats. This setup allows the team to attack in combinations, using the wingers to pull wide before they cut inside to find the feet of the striker or play a one-two in the box.

One major advantage for Juventus is the ability to press high in coordinated waves with four attackers. This creates immense pressure on the opposition back line and forces errors. Another strength is the speed of transition, as the direct passing from the double pivot to the front four allows the team to hit in behind on the transition. The wide overloads from Cambiaso allow the team to spread wide and stretch the opposition defence.
