Starting Lineup

Prioritizing defensive stability and quick transitions, Alte. Brown employs a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and strike on the break, making the team very difficult to break down. The goal is to absorb pressure and then move the ball forward rapidly to exploit space left by the opposition.

PONA operates as the goalkeeper. The defensive unit consists of a back five that maintains a narrow defensive block. THOMI holds the central position to win headers and clear the lines. PIPA and PIBI act as wide center backs to cover the channels and guard the flanks. ENZO and CHAVO function as attacking wing backs, pushing high to provide width and support the attack. This allows the team to stay compact when they do not have the ball.

The midfield consists of a three-man unit designed to connect the defensive and attacking lines. EZE and SANTI act as a double pivot to shield the defense. EZE works to intercept passes and control the center, while SANTI looks to carry the ball forward into the middle third. TITO plays as an attacking ten, sitting in the hole to link the midfield to the forwards. TITO aims to find the feet of the strikers or play through the lines with vertical passes.

Up front, NAHUE and FACU operate as a partnership of two forwards. They often work together to press the opposition back line and force a long ball. NAHUE can hold up the ball to allow FACU to make runs in behind. The attack builds through the wing backs as ENZO and CHAVO overlap the midfielders to deliver crosses. This formation creates chances through quick combinations and allows the forwards to receive the ball in space.

This formation provides several tactical advantages. The team achieves great compactness when defending in a low block. By using ENZO and CHAVO, the team creates wide overloads during the attacking phase. The speed of transition allows the team to hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can recover their position.
