Two forwards in a partnership lead the attacking front line. MARCHWINSKI and KRSTOVIC lead the way, with KRSTOVIC using his strength to hold up the ball and win the header. OUDIN stays wide on the left to whip it in, while BANDA likes to cut inside to create chances from the half-spaces. Players look to hit in behind on the transition, using the wingers to pull wide and create runs in behind for the forwards.

This formation offers great speed of transition and the ability to press high in coordinated waves. With four attackers, Lecce can pin the last defender and create numerical superiority in the final third. The wide players help to spread wide, which stretches the defence and leaves gaps in the middle for the strikers to exploit.
