Starting Lineup

Odegaard operates as the attacking ten behind the striker, looking to create chances and play through the lines. Rice drives forward with the ball to connect the defensive and attacking units, while Partey stays deeper to shield the defence. This group is responsible for recycling possession and shifting the ball quickly from side to side.

In the final third, Arsenal uses three attackers across the front. Havertz acts as a pressing centre-forward who can hold up the ball and link play. Saka plays as an inverted winger on the right, often cutting inside to shoot or create. On the left, Martinelli stays wide to stretch the defence and uses his pace to hit in behind on the transition. The forwards work to trigger a press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers Arsenal the advantage of numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch. The combination of Rice and Partey allows them to control the central zone while the full backs provide width.
