They act as the primary cover, requiring high concentration to defend against runners while the rest of the team pushes forward.

The midfield is a massive engine room designed to congest the center. MCCRORIE and WILLIAMS act as the central core, with MCCRORIE often looking to drive forward with the ball while Williams works to shield the defense. PRING provides further support in the central zone, helping to recycle possession and link the back two to the attack. On the flanks of this five man unit, BIRD and KNIGHT occupy the half spaces to act as attacking midfielders who can arrive late into the box or press aggressively to win the ball back.
